Bowling Limitations Bowlers shall be limited to a maximum of consecutive overs in any one spell and to a maximum of daily quota as follows :- Age Consecutive Overs Daily Quota Under 19 8 20 Under 17 6 16 Spin/Slow Bowlers Bowling spells are not applicable however daily quotas as above apply. (eg U/17 – 16 overs) Break Between Spells – Length of Break Refer FTGDCA Junior Rule Book – Rule 8.17 Change of Bowling Type (changing from fast to slow) If a bowler begins with medium pace or faster and changes to slow bowling during the day’s play, that bowler remains subject to the playing conditions throughout the match. Responsibility of Captains & Umpires Captains must notify umpires on the team sheet (senior matches only) any U/19 or U/17 players to whom this playing condition applies. It is the responsibility of the captains and umpires to ensure that this playing condition adhered to. Please Note – This policy is applicable only to the match in which the under age player is involved and not a combination of junior and senior overs bowled on the same day.
